The Blue Velvet Nudibranch (Chelidonura varians) is one of the most effective natural predators of nuisance flatworms in reef aquariums, especially red planaria. It actively hunts and consumes flatworms on live rock and aquarium surfaces.

Completely reef safe, Blue Velvet Nudibranchs will not harm corals, fish, or other invertebrates. They are widely used by reef hobbyists as a biological solution for controlling flatworm infestations.

3. Specialized Diet – Eats Flatworms

This species feeds almost exclusively on planaria and other small flatworms, making it an ideal addition to reef tanks experiencing flatworm problems. It should only be introduced into aquariums where flatworms are present.
